My Goofy Gift

2017 has not been my favorite year—although I’m ever grateful for the readers and contributors to FGP. You’ve all been bright lights for me.

This year has also made me glom on to the moments that have brought me joy. One of those moments happened with my youngest nephews, who are—like me—big fans of Mad Libs. Over Thanksgiving, we didn’t have any handy, so I wrote some.

I figured that, hey, if any of you are goofballs like we are, you might enjoy one, too.

So grab some scratch paper. The story is in the first comment. Please add your results—that’s the best part, isn’t it?

Fellow goofball or not, here’s to a fabulous 2018!

xo,

Jennifer

  1. 1 and 2 met at a 3 party.

“Hey, have you tried the 4? They make my 5 water, just thinking about them,” 1 says.

“Unfortunately, they make my 6 swell up,” says 2. “Hey, it’s really 7 in here. Want to go outside?”

“So what do you do?” 2 asks.

    1 blushes. “I’m a famous 8.”

“9!” 2 says. “I’ve always wanted to 10 one of you!”

“It’s not that 11. You just have to study for 12 years, keep your 13 up, and fight the 14.”

    “I 15 you.”

They left and went to 16, where they discussed 17 all night.

    1. Tori and Zsofi met at a Halloween party.

“Hey, have you tried the cotton candy? They make my elbow water, just thinking about them,” Tori says.

“Unfortunately, they make my knee swell up,” says Zsofi. “Hey, it’s really squishy in here. Want to go outside?”

“So what do you do?” Zsofi asks.

Tori blushes. “I’m a famous tow truck driver.”

“Gadzooks!” Zsofi says. “I’ve always wanted to fly one of you!”

“It’s not that multicolored. You just have to study for 6 years, keep your joy up, and fight the trees.”

      “I swim you.”

They left and went to DisneyWorld, where they discussed snow plows all night.

LOVE THIS IDEA. Thanks – and happy holidays! Hoping 2018 is your favorite year.
